Museum Night “A Book in the Night”

17.05 kell 11-23

On May 17th, 2025, the Museum Night will take place, with the theme “A Book in the Night.” This year’s Museum Night fittingly celebrates Estonia’s Year of the Book and the 500th anniversary of the publication of the first book in Estonian.

At the Estonian Museum of Applied Art and Design, visitors can explore examples of bookbinding art from the early 20th century to the present day in the exhibition “Collected Works.” For Museum Night, special bindings from the museum’s collection will be on display. For example, you can see the thickest and the smallest bound books in the ETDM collection.

The permanent exhibitions “Collected Works” and “Introduction to Estonian Design” will also be open until late in the evening, along with the new gallery exhibition “Martin Pedanik. The Man Behind the Stage.”

We’ve invited the OA coffee bus to our cozy museum courtyard, making it even more enjoyable to spend a spring evening with us.

On Museum Night, we’re open from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, and admission is just 1 euro!
