Entry to the exhibitions is possible until 30 minutes before closing time.
The museum courtyard is open until 19:00.

The museum is closed on public holidays: 1 January, 24 February, Easter, 1 May, 23–24 June, 20 August, 24–26 December and 31 December.

We want to ensure the best visiting experience and we therefore ask that group visits of more than 10 people be arranged in advance. 

Payment

You can pay both in cash and by bank card. For multiple tickets (10 or more) write to info@etdm.ee to receive an invoice, which you can pay by bank transfer.

Directions

The Estonian Museum of Applied Art and Design is located in Tallinn’s Old Town, among many other historical sights and museums and galleries, close to the passenger port and railway station. We are within walking distance of Toompea as well as Kalamaja and Telliskivi Creative City.

Accessibility
Unfortunately, there is no lift in the museum and there is no wheelchair access between the floors. The exhibition area on the ground floor is wheelchair accessible, but please ask the museum staff for assistance. There is also no disabled toilet.

Cloakroom and lockers
Large bags, backpacks and umbrellas are not allowed in the exhibition halls of the museum. Please use our cloakroom and lockers located at the back of the visitor area. There is no guard in the cloakroom.

Museum shop
You can find a wide selection of good quality Estonian design items, books and magazines in the museum shop, which is open during museum opening hours.

Courtyard
Visiting the museum courtyard is free. During the summer season there is outdoor furniture and an outdoor area in the courtyard that is open to all 9:00–19:00.

Photography and filming
Photography and filming are allowed in the museum for personal use. No flash-photography is allowed in the museum. When using the photos, please indicate that they were taken at the Estonian Museum of Applied Art and Design. Please make sure not to disturb other visitors to the museum while taking photographs. If using a tripod, please make sure not to interfere with the movement of other visitors. Please arrange for filming at the museum at least 24 hours in advance. Toilets are located on all floors of the museum. There is no disabled toilet.
