The Glass Collection consists of professional unique works and the products of glass workshops and factories. The collection includes about 2,700 items and sets – 56 artists and 6 companies are represented. The earliest pieces are products from glass workshops and the Johannes Lorup glass factory from the first half of the 20th century. The section of professional glass art consists of vases with engravings created by Maks Roosma as well as the work of his many students. The moulds from between the 1960s and 1980s during the Soviet period are mostly functional forms – vases, bowls, drink sets, several decorative moulds for coloured glass produced in various glass factories in the Soviet Union. The sculptural forms that emerged in the following decades are also part of the collection. Different glass melting techniques and installations dominate the works of the last few decades.
