Food and Vessel
“Food and Vessel” is a cooperation project between the ceramics department of the Estonian Academy of Art and Estonian cafes and restaurants. In the course of time students of the detaprtment have designed vessels for them, many of them being in use after development phase.
The project has been led by the department since 2011 with the aim to connect and relate young designers with cafes and restaurants to provide a experience with real clients. Focusing on special needs and requirements of the clients solutions have been developed and selected defining the specific characteristics of them. Stepping out of the standardized environment it provides a personal close relationship between the customer and the food.
Vessels and protptypes for the following cafes and restaurants are in display: cafe Moon, restaurant Kolm Sibulat, Ööbiku Gastronoomiatalu, restaurant Neikid, restaurant Leib Resto ja Aed, cafe Gustav, restaurant Alexander at Pädaste Manor, Black Taverna Lounge, restaurant Kamahouse and restaurant Kapten Tenkeš.
Exhbition is open until 26 February.
