Leesi Erm. Tapestry “Greenness” III. 1975. Wool, synthetics, woven.
Leesi Erm began her career as a textile artist already in the 1930s, but became the noteworthy reviver of this field with new means of expression since the sixties. A major part of her works is outstandingly three-dimensional, involving a considerable degree of aggressive improvisation aimed at a better expressiveness by means of unexpected and diverse materials and technical applications.
