Richard Wunderlich. Bar cabinet. 1936.
Richard Wundelich was the best-known Estonian designer of luxury furniture. He put his designs into practice at his own enterprise „Uudne mööbel“. The use of precious wood and intarsia technique is apparent also in the bar cabinet with fish, designed in 1937; a touch of luxury has been added by the internal illumination integrated in the cabinet. In the year of 1937, Wunderlich returned from the World Exhibition in Paris with the golden medal, awarded probably, among other things, also for this particular cabinet.
