Luther’s furniture factory was the mightiest furniture producer at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries in Estonia with plywood as one of its most important trademarks. The chair in the picture belongs among the widely spread so-called frame-panel seat type, bears the catalogue number 1018, and was in production from the 1890s onward. This seat belongs to the stratum that is one generation older than the bent plywood generation.
