Metal Art Studio of Otto Tammeraid. Plate. 1938-1940. Copper silver plated.
Efforts were made to revive the ethnographic tradition in metal art by establishing the requirement for national ornament. Otto Tammeraid, a convinced representative of the national course, upgraded the national motifs creatively. The national mode can be found also in the products of the Roman Tavast’s enterprise, being especially noticeable in the designs of presentable sports awards – beer mugs.
